this was a thought out, time consuming and magical experience painting this.
I did not intend for it to resemble an avatar, however, the more I developed the face, the symbology in the piece and the detailing It felt more & more my face I was looking at.
I am endeavouring to learn, unlearn, and trust my instincts in communities who value the hunter, as much as the gatherer, and above all Mother Gaia.
this piece represents my pull to my instinctive woman, my love of earth, and my true colours.
